This is a 6 mil engineering grade Retro-Reflective label. It provides good reflection even in poor visibility and bad weather conditions and complies with international standards for retroreflectivity ASTM D 4956 for Type I, Class 1. As part of our new Digital line this product has been primed for printing with Rippedsheets.com proprietary top coats. These retroreflective labels are also tamperproof and will break into pieces if removal is attempted. It is a flexible, weather resistant material that has an excellent impact and scratch-resistant surface. This material has excellent resistance to most oils, greases, fuels, weak acids, salts, and alkali. It can be used for traffic control (e.g. stop signs), black and white regulatory signs, reflective letterings and numbers, and other outdoor signage.

Retroreflectivity describes how light is reflected off a surface and returned towards the original source. The entrance angle is theangle in which the light source enters the reflective sheeting. The observation angle is the angle between the path of the light source and the observer's sight path. The coefficient of retroreflection measures the efficiency of a retroreflective material. The retroreflective efficiency is the percent of light returned back to the source. Typical retroreflective beaded sheetings have a 7% to 14% retroreflective efficiency.
